The Brooks Shopping Centre is located between Middle Brook Street and Upper Brook Street in the Centre of Winchester. From the High Street, take the passage by the side of Vodafone and you will see Upper Brook Street entrance.

There are three Park and Ride car parks: South Winchester, and the East Winchester car parks- Barfield and St Catherine’s. There are over 1650 parking spaces now available.

The car parks are all covered by CCTV, and are all awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking status for security and safety. The Park and Ride car parks are available for use 7 days a week, however, the bus service currently operates Monday to Saturday only, except on bank holidays. There is a council run two level car park directly below the shopping centre and with over 300 parking spaces you can park and shop without stepping out into the elements. The entrance to the car park is located on the North East side of the Shopping Centre on Friarsgate Street (B3331).

Walk straight down the hill from the station towards the crossroads. Cross the junction and continue straight along City Road until you see another junction and set of lights. Here take a right turn onto Jewry Street.

Pass the Theatre and Library on your right. Carry on until you see St George’s Street on your left. Take this turning and carry on down St George’s Street until you see the Brooks Shopping Centre ahead of you as the road curves around to the left.

The nearest bus stop to The Brooks is situated on Middle Brook Street, between Sainsbury’s and Marks & Spencer.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING POINTS

Winchester City Council currently have two bays in The Brooks car park, accessible during opening hours of the car park.

The units operate on a 32 amp ‘Fast Charge’ via a 7 pin plug, which can be obtained for the majority of the current EV vehicles on the market today.

SHOPMOBILITY

Winchester Shopmobility is a service that enables people with disabilities or limited walking ability to hire battery powered scooters, powerchairs and manual wheelchairs to access the shopping centre and city centre shopping. Winchester Shopmobility are open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

Free parking is included for those using the service. For further information, please call on 01962 842626.

Equipment can be hired from just 1 day up to 2 weeks. Shopmobility can meet you from your vehicle and show you how to operate the equipment safely along with a practice test before going out into town. They can also advise you on which type of equipment best suits your needs.

Winchester Shopmobility is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. They can take card payments as well as cash. Call on 01962 842626 to make your booking.

Shopmobility and parking are based on the Upper Parking Level at The Brooks Shopping Centre, Winchester SO23 8QY.

If you are traveling into the city by Dial-a-Ride Shopmobility can meet you at the rear of Marks & Spencers. If you are visiting by car or taxi then follow the signs into the Brooks Shopping Centre car park, where free parking is available to users of the Shopmobility scheme.

DISABILITY ACCESS

The Brooks is fully accessible for the needs of our disabled customers as we strive to make their shopping experience effortless and enjoyable.

Disabled facilities are available in the customer toilets which are located on the upper level parking. Access to the shops is available via the lifts located in the Centre of The Brooks, car parks and by Energie Fitness. There is a ramp leading down to lower shopping via Friarsgate Road and a ramp from Middle Brook street going to upper shopping.

AMAZON LOCKERS

Have your parcels delivered to a safe, secure location while you are away from home. Simply select The Brooks Shopping Centre as your preferred delivery location when ordering from Amazon, add it to your Amazon Address Book and your parcel will be sent directly to one of our secure lockers.

You will then be sent an email with a unique code and pick-up instructions. Enter your code into the keypad on the lockers to access your parcel and follow the onscreen instructions. Find out more here.
